 赤 Akai is Sarah Thursday's 2019 project on the seven sins, a series where the red ropes symbolise bondage to a certain sin. 

Greed shows the materialistic nature of wanting to possess more things than we naturally need. He dons an excessive amount of jewellery on his several limbs and upon his head.

Perhaps his vanity and love for physical items hides something ugly inside? We never know.

Instead of focusing on possessing more and looking rich on the outside, may we all learn to be rich in love, kindness and empathy instead.
